David studied Industrial Engineering at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology. He began his career working as an armature winder for a small company in Cape Town. After graduating, David gained experience working as an Industrial Engineer at The Foschini Group, a JSE listed clothing group. He founded Arc Lighting in 1994 after someone approached him with the idea to manufacture light fittings. David is an extremely practical and creative individual who is passionate about technical design. He designed most of the large-scale machinery in our factory today and is also the mastermind behind all our luminaires.

Gregory studied Business Management at the Independent Institute of Education. He began working at Arc Lighting in 2014 as the Marketing Production Manager and was promoted to General Manager in 2015 where he was involved in all aspects of the dynamic business. In 2018, Gregory moved to the UK to expand his knowledge in the lighting industry. He worked for the largest lighting manufacturing group company in the UK and looked after their London clients as a Specification Sales Manager specialising in Emergency Lighting. Gregory is passionate about furthering his knowledge and has completed various short courses on lighting. In 2021, Gregory moved back to South Africa to run the daily manufacturing operations of Arc Lighting and to provide strategic direction. He is a Metro Police Peace Officer and he enjoys volunteering as a Law Enforcement Officer for the City of Cape Town in his spare time.

Margaret studied a Business Science Degree at the University of Cape Town. She began her career working in the finance department at BP, one of South Africa's largest oil and gas providers. She then moved into an Analyst Programmer role for various different companies. However, after a few years, Margaret realised that she had a strong passion for finance and numbers. As a result, she joined Arc Lighting in 2002 and has since then taken a keen interest in all aspects of the business, from Finance, Sales, Production right through to Procurement, ensuring cost efficiencies in all areas of the business.

Nicole is a Chartered Management Accountant. She studied Bcom. Law and Accounting at Stellenbosch University and thereafter went on to study Management Accounting through CIMA. She completed her accounting articles at a medium sized private practice where she gained experience in all aspects of accounting and tax. In 2018, she moved to London to take up the position of financial controller at an asset management firm listed on the London Stock Exchange. She moved back to South Africa in 2021 where she started her own accounting practice specialising in outsourced financial management for small businesses in South Africa.

Sarah is a registered Organisational Psychologist with the HPCSA. She studied Human Resource Management at Stellenbosch University and has completed her Masters Degree in Industrial Psychology. She is extremely passionate about working with organisations to build their people capability. She ensures that there is always growth and synergies amongst individuals, teams, and the business as a whole.

Cameron studied Network Engineering at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology. He began his career in 2019 where he worked as a Network Operator for a medium-sized IT firm in Cape Town. After a few years of working in IT, he realised his passion for people and decided to join Arc Lighting as a Specification Sales Manager in 2023. Cameron is passionate about developing and maintaining strong relationships centered on trust with each of his customers and is highly enthusiastic about growing the company.
